Students will demonstrate an understanding of color theory and painting techniques through the creation of a mixed-media watercolor painting.
Emphasis: Emphasis is defined as an area or object within the artwork that draws attention and becomes a focal point. Subordination is defined as minimizing or toning down other compositional elements in order to bring attention to the focal point. Mixed Media: Mixed media tends to refer to a work of visual art that combines various traditionally distinct visual art media.
