A social issue is a problem that influences a considerable number of the individuals within a society. It is often the consequence of factors extending beyond an individual's social issue is the source of a conflicting opinion on the grounds of what is perceived as a morally just personal life or societal order.

Barbara Kruger (born January 26, 1945) is an American conceptual artist and collagist. Much of her work consists of black-and-white photographs overlaid with declarative captions. The phrases in her works often include pronouns such as "you", "your", "I", "we", and "they", addressing cultural constructions of power, identity, and sexuality. Much of Kruger's work pairs found photographs with pithy and assertive text that challenges the viewer. Kruger lives and works in New York and Los Angeles.
