*If you are done early, please work on an independent project! Scratch paper is located in the green bin on top of the storage drawers. Please ask if you need any extra materials!
All students will be able to demonstrate an understanding how to utilize new materials through speaking, sketching and trial and error. DO NOW: Please come in and find you assigned seat, this is how attendance will be taken. Agenda for today: DUE BLOCK DAY- Mini Artwork Make a mini piece of artwork that describes a part of how you spent your summer. You may only use the materials at your table. How can you think outside of the box with using different materials? You may not share materials with other tables Brainstorm things you could use as a reference for an artwork based off you. Make a tiny sketch of the composition on scratch paper first Coming up: Next project, Zentangles, a focus on pattern and design How can you use everyday materials in a new and creative way? Recycled Materials Used in Architectural Designs and Buildings: If it works for furniture, there seems to be no reason not to use small recycled objects in a much bigger way. Whether one starts with bottles, cans or hay bales there are a number of clever ways to turn ordinary recyclables into full-scale architectural creations. Very few designers have figured out how to do this on a larger and more sustainable scale yet but many are working on it. What kind of recycled materials could you think of to use on an art project?
